Schedule AM Shift: 7 am - 7 pm, 3 x 12 Hour shifts Job Description The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Surgical Unit is responsible for providing comprehensive patient care with a compassionate approach. The RN will apply assessment skills and clinical knowledge across patient populations from pediatric to geriatric levels, ensuring the delivery of high-quality nursing care. ResponsibilitiesPerform thorough and systematic patient assessments. Deliver competent clinical nursing care and support patient care delivery. Maintain accurate and complete documentation of patient care processes and education. Exhibit professionalism by adhering to policies, procedures and identifying growth opportunities. Ensure patient safety by following national safety protocols and universal guidelines. Individualize care based on patient's conditions and procedural needs. Contribute to the surgical team by prioritizing patient care and addressing changes in conditions. Involve patients and families in education regarding surgical processes and recovery. Evaluate and support the completion of Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure1 year of experience in Critical Care/Cardiac or Emergency Department. Current RN License required. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required (PALS for Pediatric ER only).
