PROGRAM ASSOCIATE: SLP PROGRAM OVERVIEW: DeSales University, in Center Valley, PA, is a private, coeducational, four-year liberal arts Salesian, Catholic university, under the leadership of the Oblates of Saint Francis de Sales. Founded in 1965, the 550-acre suburban campus is located 50 miles north of Philadelphia and about 90 miles southwest of New York City. POSITION SUMMARY: The Program Associate serves as the main administrative support for the Program Director & Chair and the faculty of the program and facilitates efficient operation of the new Communications Sciences & Disorders (SLP) Program. The position also manages daily operational needs of the Clinic and provides support for the Director of Clinical Education and the clinical faculty. Position provides administrative oversight of student employees supporting the program. The Program Associate is an energetic, amicable, flexible, and highly organized individual. QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma required; college degree preferred Excellent communications skills, both oral and written 2-3 years of related experience in a higher education environment or customer service-based industry Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite, Internet, E-mail; experience with database programs (Access, Datatel) and other admission and educational management platforms (EXXAT, Colleague, Recruit) preferred Possess math skills to provide accurate financial and other data accounting Maintain confidentiality and discretion Dedicated to the mission of the CS&D Program Occasional attendance at program functions outside of standard work hours Ability to exercise independent judgment, balance competing responsibilities, and complete assignments in a timely manner Sensitive to issues of ethnicity, disability and diversity Dedicated to the mission of a small, Catholic, liberal arts institution DeSales University is an EEO employer - M/F/Vets/Disabled
