Assure that equipment is being maintained safely. Minimizedowntime through proactive performance testing and scheduled maintenance.Essentialduties and responsibilities: Follows all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and Company directives related to building operations in both GMP and Non-GMP environments and work safety. Maintains, operates, and repairs HVAC systems and associated equipment, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, GMP equipment, building interior/exterior repair, and related grounds for assigned building(s). Inspects building systems, including fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing, and process equipment to ensure equipment operation is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by the client. Performs assigned day-to-day repairs and emergency corrective and preventive maintenance. Completes maintenance and repair records. Respond quickly to emergencies, summoning additional assistance as needed. Review historical maintenance records to develop proactive inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance schedules. Safely operate a company vehicle and follow prescribed routines to service locations on time. Performs other duties as assigned. Additional duties as required. SupervisoryResponsibilities: No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance and/or training to coworkers. Coordinates and assigns tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project. Qualifications:To performthis job successfully, an individual will be able to perform each dutysatisfactorily with the requirements listed below which are representative ofthe knowledge, skill, and ability required. High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4+ years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Valid driver's license required. Certification in two or more of the following: Electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry or engine repair as well as CFC Certification. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information. Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles and an understanding of operating budgets. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis. Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills. Use personal computer and/ or PDA for work order system, email, ESS and training. Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook. Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ ladders and ability to lift/ carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more. The minimum salary for the HVAC Engineer position is $90,000 annually and the maximum salary for the HVAC Engineer position is $105,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
