JOB SUMMARY Responsible for planning and implementing a strategic donor relations program based on donor recognition, stewardship and engagement. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS WORKS TO SUPPORT OVERALL DEPARTMENT FUNDRAISING GOALSBy working with the AVP to develop a set of metrics to measure Donor Relations' impact on department fundraising goals. By helping to set strategy for donor engagement efforts for both campaigns and comprehensive departmental goals. By providing support and input for quarterly Board Reports. By working with Gift Officers to develop an overall stewardship plan for donors that can help cultivate future giving. By assisting with final reports for grants and other writing needs as they arise. DEVELOPS OVERAL STEWARDSHIP STRATEGYBy working in partnership with the Database Administrator to develop individual, corporate and foundation gift acknowledgement processes. By drafting and routinely editing donor acknowledgement letters to stay current with best practices and the Good Shepherd style guide. By researching, writing and producing compelling stewardship pieces for significant philanthropic commitments and high-level donors. By serving as a point of contact, along with the Sr. Major and Planned Giving Officer, for donors regarding their endowment funds and driving strategy for reporting on those funds. By creating a stewardship plan for gifts and pledges in support of campaigns and overall department fundraising goals. By partnering with members of the Institutional Advancement team to provide support to special event strategy and execution as it relates to donor impact. PROVIDES OVERSIGHT OF DIRECT MAILBy being the primary relationship manager of the multi-channel communication vendor, including but not limited to driving content strategy and editorial support. By working the with AVP to create an annual plan for a multi-channel donor relation strategy and output. By working to monitor direct results of donor communication and establishing goals relative to increasing new donor acquisition and dollars raised. By creating a strategy for including individualized impact and stewardship pieces to complement the direct mail plan. By working in concert with the Marketing and Communication team to execute a multi-channel communication strategy that aligns with the overall Institutional Advancement content calendar. OVERSEE DONOR RELATIONS ENGAGEMENTBy identifying opportunities to engage new donors through various channels including but not limited to direct mail, e-mail, impact reports and social media. By working with the Database Administrator to develop donor bios for key constituents including but not limited to the Board of Trustees and Senior Leaders. By partnering with the AVP to conceive of opportunities to engage and create future donor affinity. PROVIDES OVERSIGHT TO DONOR RECOGNITIONBy overseeing the creation and implementation of donor recognition areas, including named space plaques and signage. By partnering with appropriate GSRN Associates to assist with donor recognition areas for capital projects as they arise. By creating and maintaining a campus wide inventory of donor recognition and named spaces. By staying current on trends and opportunities for donor recognition. PARTICIPATES IN PLANNING DEPARTMENTAL GOALSBy working with the Institutional Advancement team to support the organization's strategic plan. MAINTAINS PROFESSIONAL RELATIONSHIPSBy interacting with various constituencies to ensure overall support for the organization. MAINTAINS PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGEBy attending workshops and seminars, reviewing trade publications, and establishing personal networks. CONTRIBUTES TO TEAM EFFORTBy accomplishing related results as needed. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Work Experience 2 - 3+ years of Development or related experience required. Previous Capital Campaign experience a plus. Previous work in the health-care environment preferred.
