Position Type: Student Support Services/School Nurse Date Posted: 1/14/2026 Location: Whisconier Middle School Date Available: 2026-2027 SY Brookfield Public Schools is looking for an excellent School Nurse for Whisconier Middle SchoolLocation:Whisconier Middle School- Brookfield Public Schools Position Type: School Nurse - Nurses Union General Tasks include, but are not limited to: Experience in school nursing and in First aid, Sports injuries, and Minor trauma. Provide medical care to pupils, members of staff and to visitors while on site. Promote health education throughout the School community. Perform health screenings, coordinate referrals, maintain children with chronic health problems, and act as a first responder to emergencies. Skill in concussion protocol, crisis intervention for acute illnesses and emotional disturbances. Participate in revision of school health policies and procedures, and implementation of the school medication policy. Educate faculty in blood borne illnesses, seizure precautions, and epi-pen administration. Teach First Aid and Safety to faculty and students. Manage difficult medical emergencies involving student injury and provide immediate first aid. Work closely with the Medical Advisor, Administration, School Counselors and School Social Worker Starting Salary - $42.64/ hour Candidate must hold a current RN License from the State of Connecticut and at least 1 year of current experience to be considered for this position.
