Job Details Location: South Weymouth, MA 02190 (South Shore / Greater Boston area) Position: Echocardiography Technologist / Echo Tech / Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Setting: Hospital - Cardiac Catheterization Unit (Cath Lab) Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 6, 2026 - July 4, 2026) Employment Type: Travel Shift: Day shifts, 12 hours (shift details to be confirmed) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Number of Positions: 2 Estimated Weekly Pay: $1900-$2040 Qualifications & Certification (Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer) Completion of an accredited echocardiography program (associate degree or higher) Minimum 1 year of echocardiography experience in a hospital or cardiology setting (2 years preferred) RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer - ARDMS) or RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer - CCI) required BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification preferred/required as indicated Demonstrated competency in diagnostic echocardiography and cardiac ultrasound techniques (including Doppler imaging) Ability to recognize abnormal cardiac structures and translate findings into clinically useful reports Comfort using ancillary devices and a variety of transducers; ability to adapt and learn new techniques Strong communication and teamwork skills for collaboration in a multidisciplinary cath lab environment Key Responsibilities Perform diagnostic transthoracic echocardiograms and assist with cardiac catheterization procedures as needed Acquire, analyze, and document cardiac ultrasound images and measurements with accuracy Identify and report abnormal cardiac structures and hemodynamic findings to the cardiology team Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and cath lab staff to ensure high-quality patient care Maintain timely, accurate patient records and imaging documentation in the electronic medical record Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain echocardiography equipment and ancillary devices; ensure equipment readiness Adapt scanning techniques to meet individual patient and clinical needs in a fast-paced hospital environment Why This Travel Echo Tech Opportunity Hands-on cath lab and cardiac ultrasound experience in a hospital setting near Boston, MA 13-week travel assignment ideal for Echo Techs seeking short-term hospital experience Work with an experienced cardiology team in a modern cardiac catheterization unit Apply now: If you are an RDCS/RCS certified Echo Tech seeking a travel echocardiography role in South Weymouth, MA, submit your resume and certifications today.
