Operating Room RN

Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for a contract assignment supporting a hospital-based surgical services department. This role is ideal for OR nurses with strong intraoperative experience who are comfortable working in fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environments. Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care across the perioperative continuum, including pre-op, intra-op, and post-op phases Prepare and maintain the operating room with sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies Monitor patient status and vital signs throughout surgical procedures Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers by anticipating procedural needs Enforce sterile technique and infection prevention protocols Accurately document surgical procedures and patient care Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary surgical team to ensure safe and efficient operations Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room experience Experience with robotic surgery and orthopedic and/or neurosurgical cases Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and communication skills Ability to remain focused and effective in high-pressure surgical settings Required / Preferred Certifications BLS (AHA required) ACLS and PALS preferred BSN preferred Contract Details Assignment Length: 13 weeks Schedule: 3×12-hour day shifts (36 hours per week) Employment Type: Contract (not a permanent full-time role) Travel nurses welcome - travel stipends available for qualified candidates On-call requirements discussed during screening (if applicable)
