About the job Journeyman Industrial Maintenance Technician Journeyman Maintenance Mechanic - Manufacturing | Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems | Greenfield, INLocation: Greenfield, Indiana (On-Site) Industry: Industrial / Electrical & Electronic Manufacturing Experience: 5+ Years Required Certification: Valid Journeyman Card (Required) Overtime: Required as Needed Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Maintenance Mechanic with strong expertise in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems to support production machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a skilled trades professional with proven experience in assembly/manufacturing maintenance, PLC troubleshooting, presses, and metal fabrication equipment. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic presses Perform mechanical maintenance on production machinery, conveyor systems, motors, and engines Diagnose issues in PLC-controlled equipment Dismantle, inspect, adjust, and replace defective mechanical components Repair basic electrical equipment and control instruments Operate lathe, mill, drill press, grinder, and arc welding equipment Read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals Install and test mechanical and structural components Initiate purchase orders for parts and equipment Maintain equipment reliability and workplace safety standards Required Qualifications Valid Journeyman Card (mandatory and verifiable) Minimum 5 years of mechanical maintenance experience in manufacturing or assembly environments Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Experience with PLC troubleshooting Ability to arc weld and operate machining equipment (lathe & mills) Basic electrical repair knowledge Valid Driver's License Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly (100 lbs occasionally) Preferred Experience Electrical/electronic manufacturing background Familiarity with U.S. workplace safety standards Experience working with high-speed production equipment What We Offer Stable, on-site position in Greenfield, IN Relocation assistance available Overtime opportunities Opportunity to work in a technically advanced manufacturing environment
