Description The City of Miamisburg is accepting applications for the MBSL Assistant Manager for the Parks and Recreation Department. The MBSL Assistant Manager reports to the Athletics Manager and plays an integral role in the fulfillment of Miamisburg Parks and Recreation's mission and vision. The MBSL Assistant Manager is responsible for planning, scheduling, and executing league operations including practices, games, tournaments, and special events. Responsibilities include assisting in concessions operation, league communication, staff coordination, as well as ensuring excellent customer service throughout daily operations. Essential responsibilities include the daily operations, customer experience, and function of the facility are monitored. The MBSL Assistant Manager strives to be the best source of information to assist patrons in understanding athletic offerings and operations. Requirements The Athletics Assistant Manager will be thoroughly committed to Miamisburg Parks and Recreation's mission. All candidates should have experience working in a customer-oriented setting, be comfortable administrating and operating sports leagues, and thrive in a teamwork environment Minimum Qualifications include: Minimum of two seasons of experience supporting athletic league operations or equivalent relevant experience. Must Obtain CPR/First Aid Certification through the Parks & Recreation Department. Complete Person-In-Charge Food Safety Training within 60 days of employment Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) Possess a valid State of Ohio driver's license. Must be available evenings and weekend hours Professional Skills Awareness of applicable state, federal and local ordinances, laws, rules, and regulations. Plan and execute department activities and services. Knowledge of all computer applications and hardware related to performance of the essential functions of the job. Action-oriented, adaptable, and an innovative approach to department activities and services. Ability to carry out programs and events in an organized, quality, and timely manner. Ability to problem solve and communicate needs and changes effectively. Ability to speak, read, and write in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to organize work, set priorities, meet critical deadlines, and follow up on assignments. Soft Skills Relationships driven approach. Ability to work in collaboration with team members and volunteers. Compassionate nature. Ability to multi-task and be willing to plan and execute department activities and services.
