Job Description

Job Description A little about us ... CI-Group is a marketing solutions company that helps our clients build their brands, launch their products and connect with their customers. Located in Lebanon, NJ, our company has more than 80 employees, with several divisions including branding, design, experiential + events, digital, advertising, strategy + research, branded merchandise, warehousing + fulfillment, and printing + mailing. We've been in business for over 40 years and are proud to have an impressive list of household name clients from the entertainment, finance, healthcare and luxury brands industries, among others. The Role: A "Floor-First leader We are seeking a strategic and highly present Senior Director of Fulfillment & Logistics Operations to lead our 3PL distribution and warehousing division across two facilities. This is not a "remote-from-the-office" role Because our operations revolve around high-volume e-commerce and complex kitting-rather than static pallet storage-success in this position requires you to be physically present on the warehouse floor. You aren't just managing metrics from a dashboard; you are observing the workflow, identifying bottlenecks in the assembly line, and working side-by-side with your leads to refine the "unboxing" experience for our clients.... often luxury clients. Experience and Skills Core Responsibilities Operational Leadership: Manage two warehouse locations and a team of approximately 25-35 exempt, non-exempt, and temporary associates. Build a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and excellence. Process Engineering & Complex Fulfillment & Kitting: Oversee production scheduling for labor-intensive project assembly, kitting, and custom order configurations. Ensure "unboxing" quality meets the high standards of our customers, which include luxury and entertainment clients. You will be responsible for designing the physical layout of kitting lines to maximize throughput and maintain the high aesthetic standards our clients demand. Systems & Technology: Own the Extensiv 3PL WMS environment. You will be the "power user" who ensures data integrity from the receiving dock to the shipping station. Lead the setup and maintenance of billing procedures, inventory control, and reporting. Drive the exploration of automation and technology to increase throughput. Logistics & Shipping: Manage relationships with common carriers and small parcel delivery companies (UPS, FedEx, USPS). Apply deep knowledge of shipping rates, zones, and methods to optimize outbound costs. Strategy & Growth: Develop and execute a strategic plan that supports CI-Group's rapid growth. Standardize SOPs and streamline business processes to improve profitability. Data-Driven Performance: Establish, measure, and report on KPIs (e.g., order accuracy, pick-to-ship cycle time, inventory turnover) to drive continuous improvement (CI). Internal Collaboration: Act as the bridge between the warehouse floor and our branding/account teams to ensure client campaigns are executed flawlessly. Requirements and Qualifications Experience: 10+ years of leadership in physical distribution, 3PL, and high-volume e-commerce fulfillment. Subject Matter Expertise with a Hands-On Mentality: Proven track record in kitting and assembly line production where you have personally designed or optimized the workflow managing multi-component projects rather than just bulk pallet movement. Physical Presence: This is a 100% on-site role. You must be able to remain active on the warehouse floor, including the ability to remain active on the warehouse floor, including walking or standing for up to 8 hours a day. Technical Proficiency: Advanced experience with WMS systems (Extensiv 3PL experience is a major plus) and the ability to leverage data for production scheduling. Shipping Knowledge: Deep understanding of the parcel shipping landscape and common carrier logistics. Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field. A Day in the Life In this role, your morning doesn't start with emails; it starts with a "floor walk." You'll begin the day on the warehouse floor, checking in with your leads, reviewing the day's kitting schedule, and ensuring the lines are staged for success. While you'll certainly handle high-level strategy, you are just as likely to be found standing at a packing station, refining a kitting process to shave 30 seconds off of production time or troubleshooting a bottleneck in the WMS. You are equally comfortable presenting KPIs to leadership as you are coaching a team member on the floor to ensure our client's experiences are flawless. Job Benefits In exchange, we offer... A steady, fast-paced work environment with a close-knit, collaborative culture. Competitive salary commensurate with experience. Comprehensive benefits package including Health Insurance and a 401K plan. Paid holidays, vacation, and personal time (available after 120 days). All the free caffeine that you want!
