Job Responsibilities Conduct evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using both standardized assessments and careful observational methods. Create individualized treatment plans that meet both short-term objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs. Deliver targeted speech therapy sessions centered around improving communication skills, language fluency, voice control, and safe swallowing practices. Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and family members to design comprehensive care strategies. Provide patient and family education to promote progress beyond clinical surroundings. Assist with occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions, ensuring uninterrupted continuity of care throughout the treatment journey. Keep precise and timely records in alignment with regulatory and organizational standards. Engage in continuing education and collaborative learning opportunities to stay abreast of advancements in your field. Education Requirements Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications Required State licensure as a Speech Therapist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hiring.
