Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) to perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate should be confident working independently, maintaining high-quality imaging standards, and providing excellent patient care. This role primarily involves performing general ultrasound examinations and supporting the radiology team in delivering accurate and timely diagnostic results. Shift: Weekend Shift - 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM (Saturday & Sunday). Occasional weekday coverage may be required as needed. During the initial training period, some weekday shifts may be scheduled to complete orientation and learn departmental protocols. Key Responsibilities: Perform a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound exams following established protocols. Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images. Ensure patient comfort, safety, and clear communication during procedures. Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record system. Keep examination rooms clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies. Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare staff to ensure timely and accurate imaging results. ssist in emergency procedures or operating room cases when required. Participate in on-call coverage as assigned. Types of Exams Performed: Upper and lower extremity DVT studies Abdominal ultrasound exams Appendix studies Pelvic and Gynecological imaging Obstetric ultrasounds (1st and 3rd trimester including BPP, EFW, AFI, cord Doppler, and multiples) Basic pediatric ultrasound exams (e.g., abdomen, appendix) Scrotal ultrasound Thyroid imaging Additional Imaging Experience Preferred: Venous insufficiency studies rterial duplex BI/PVR studies Renal artery stenosis bdominal Doppler studies including hepatic vessels, portal vein, splenic vein, SMA, and IVC Carotid and aortic imaging Requirements: Minimum 3 years of ultrasound experience in a clinical setting Certification in BLS (AHA) ARDMS certification (RDMS, RDCS, or RVT) preferred depending on specialty Strong experience performing general ultrasound examinations independently bility to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment Work Environment: cute care hospital setting within the radiology/ultrasound department pproximately 8-10 ultrasound studies per day Use of modern ultrasound systems and PACS for imaging documentation
