Job Description Title: 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician Location: Montgomery, IL Hire Type: Direct Hire Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Bonus/ Incentives/ Stock Options: 401k, Education Reimbursement Program Pay: $28-35/hr Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our clients Packaging Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining all machinery within the packaging area while ensuring a safe and high-quality production environment. Job Duties: Read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams. Understand PLC ladder logic and industrial electrical systems. Perform building and masonry repairs. Install, service, and repair electric motors, heaters, coolers, refrigerators, and other related equipment using various hand and power tools. Move and replace machinery and auxiliary apparatus using hand and electric trucks, forklifts, and dollies. Replace fuses, light bulbs, circuit breakers, electric switches, and other electrical equipment. Maintain records and prepare reports related to equipment, supplies, and materials. Prepare written reports on projects and equipment conditions. Ensure proper use, care, and storage of tools and equipment. Maintain work area in a clean and sanitary manner. Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance. Work from sketches, drawings, and blueprints. Troubleshoot, repair, and replace electrical systems to the component level. Fabricate, assemble, and test machinery parts as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. High School Diploma or GED required. Four years of experience in mechanical or electrical trades preferred. Completion of a recognized vocational training program in mechanical or electrical trades may be substituted for two years of experience. Knowledge of accepted practices, processes, materials, and tools of the maintenance trades. Familiarity with electric motors, generators, pumps, pressure systems, water systems, and other related equipment. Experience servicing and maintaining power, heating, and cooling units. Understanding of occupational hazards and safety precautions in maintenance trades.
