Role: DevOps / DevSecOps Engineer (Developer Experience - DevEx) Location: Newark, NJ (Onsite) Type: Contract Pay Range: $55-$60 Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced DevOps / DevSecOps Engineer with strong Developer Experience (DevEx) focus to join our team in Newark, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a solid development background along with hands-on experience in building secure, scalable CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of automation, security integration, and platform engineering best practices. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for application deployments. Enhance Developer Experience (DevEx) by building self-service platforms, automation tools, and reusable infrastructure modules. Integrate security controls and compliance checks into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps practices). Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools. Collaborate with development teams to streamline build, test, and release processes. Implement containerization and orchestration solutions (Docker, Kubernetes). Manage cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP) ensuring high availability and scalability. Conduct vulnerability assessments and integrate SAST, DAST, and container security scanning tools. Monitor system performance and implement observability solutions (logs, metrics, tracing). Ensure adherence to enterprise security and governance policies. Required Skills & Qualifications 8-10 years of overall IT experience with strong DevOps and DevSecOps expertise. Prior developer experience (Java, Python, .NET, or similar). Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps. Strong experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar IaC tools. Experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP). Experience implementing security tools like SonarQube, Snyk, Checkmarx, Prisma, or similar. Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, PowerShell). Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Splunk. Knowledge of Zero Trust security models and DevSecOps frameworks.
