The Manchester-Shortsville Central School District (Red Jacket Schools) is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year. The Manchester-Shortsville Central School District (Red Jacket Schools) is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) probationary tenure-track position beginning September 2, 2026. The Speech-Language Pathologist supports student learning and communication development by providing assessment, consultation, and speech-language therapy services. The role is integral to the special education process and to multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS), helping students develop the communication skills necessary to access instruction and participate fully in the school environment. Position Details • 7.5-hour day, 10-month academic year (plus 20 days)• Location: District-wide (K-12)• Salary: Per RJFA contract; minimum $50,707, commensurate with experience, includes 30 hour Masters Degree• Comprehensive benefits package• Reports to: Coordinator of Special Services Key Responsibilities Assessment and Evaluation Conduct speech-language evaluations to determine eligibility for special education and related services Administer and interpret standardized and informal assessments to identify speech, language, and communication needs. Prepare clear and legally defensible evaluation reports and present findings to multidisciplinary teams. Participate in Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings and contribute to data-informed decision-making. Speech and Language Intervention Provide individual and small-group speech and language therapy aligned with students' IEP goals. Develop and implement interventions targeting articulation, language development, fluency, voice, and pragmatic communication skills. Support students in developing communication skills that enhance academic performance, social interaction, and functional communication. Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals and adjust interventions as needed. Collaboration and Consultation Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers to support student communication needs across school settings. Provide staff with consultation on strategies to support language development, communication, and classroom participation. Participate in IEP, 504, MTSS, and other student support team meetings. Support classroom-based strategies that strengthen language, literacy, and communication development. Compliance and Documentation Maintain accurate service records and documentation aligned with state and federal regulations. Contribute to IEP development and provide progress updates throughout the school year. Ensure services are delivered in accordance with NYSED special education requirements and district policies.
