Occupational Therapist (Part-Time) - Portland, OR Job Type: Part-Time (Onsite) Schedule: Monday-Friday, between 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM (approximately 20 hours/week; flexible within this range) Work Setting: Outpatient Rehabilitation Clinic Patient Population: Adults & Geriatric Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our outpatient rehabilitation team in Portland, OR. In this role, you will work primarily with adult and older adult patients, supporting them in restoring function, improving independence, and enhancing quality of life. This position is ideal for an OT who enjoys a collaborative environment and values patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations assessing functional performance, safety, and independence. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting ADLs, IADLs, upper-extremity rehabilitation, functional mobility, and cognitive/perceptual deficits. Provide evidence-based interventions for: Orthopedic injuries and post-surgical recovery Stroke and other neurological conditions Arthritis, chronic pain, and musculoskeletal disorders Balance impairments and fall prevention Cognitive decline and mild dementia Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques, therapeutic exercises, home programs, and use of durable medical equipment. Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other interdisciplinary team members. Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and in compliance with clinic and regulatory standards. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support a positive clinical culture. Qualifications: Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Active Oregon Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility to obtain). Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in an outpatient orthopedic occupational therapy setting (Required). Experience treating general orthopedic and neurologic cases (required). Strong clinical reasoning, time-management, and communication skills.
