Job Description The Mechanical Design Engineer will report to the Mechanical Engineering Manager and be responsible for: Develop both conceptual and detailed mechanical designs for automated systems and integrated work cells. Engineer mechanical components, subassemblies, and custom modifications to industrial automation equipment. Design pneumatic systems and specify related components. Select appropriate sensors and electrical components to support system functionality. Perform engineering analyses and calculations to validate structural integrity, performance, and manufacturability. Produce accurate, timely designs using 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred) and technical documentation tools. Prepare technical content for customer proposals and project deliverables. Maintain organized project files, drawings, and documentation throughout the engineering lifecycle. Manage multiple active design projects while meeting deadlines and quality expectations. Stay informed on emerging technologies relevant to automation equipment and mechanical design. Represent the engineering team with professionalism and a customerfocused mindset. The Successful Applicant Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. 3-5 years of experience designing industrial automation equipment, machinery, or mechanical systems. Proficiency with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks strongly preferred). Strong command of Microsoft Office tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work independently or as part of a project team. High attention to detail and commitment to engineering accuracy.
