Job Description

This opportunity is for a Behavior Specialist or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide classroom support in an elementary school setting located in Mechanicsville, MD. The role focuses on assisting students in early primary grades within a general education classroom environment. This contract position offers an engaging chance to work closely with young learners and collaborate with a supportive team. Key Responsibilities: Deliver 1:1 or classroom-wide behavioral support to primary students (pre-K through grade 2) Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a BCBA Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student success Qualifications: Valid certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or qualifications as a Behavior Specialist Experience working with young children, preferably in school settings Ability to follow BCBA guidance and implement therapeutic strategies effectively Strong communication and observational skills Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting student growth Location & Schedule: Position is based at an elementary school in Mechanicsville, MD Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM Start date is immediate upon completion of onboarding Additional Details: Contract position with two openings available BCBA supervision will be provided to support ongoing professional development and ensure quality care This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young students while gaining valuable experience in behavioral support within a school environment.
