Position Summary We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative Mobile Architect to lead the development of scalable, high-performance mobile applications. You will be responsible for defining the architecture, design patterns, and technical direction of mobile applications built using React Native, Expo, and other modern tools. In this role, you will collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering teams to ensure seamless user experiences across iOS and Android platforms. We are looking for someone who has hands-on experience with mobile CI/CD and monitoring tools such as Bitrise and Sentry, with a strong focus on performance, quality, and developer productivity. Key Responsibilities: Lead Mobile Architecture: Define and implement robust, scalable mobile application architectures using React Native and Expo, optimized for performance and maintainability. Tech Stack Ownership: Establish and maintain coding standards, frameworks, and architecture principles. Champion the use of Bitrise, Sentry, and other tools to streamline development and monitoring workflows. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Partner closely with product managers, designers, and back-end developers to ensure alignment on features, timelines, and technical implementations. Drive CI/CD Practices: Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Bitrise, ensuring fast and reliable build, test, and deployment cycles. Monitor and Optimize App Health: Implement and manage real-time error tracking and performance monitoring using Sentry, proactively identifying and resolving issues. Ensure Code Quality: Enforce best practices for clean, reusable, and modular code. Conduct and lead code reviews, architecture reviews, and documentation efforts. Mentor Development Teams: Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior and senior mobile developers. Cross-Platform Expertise: Deliver seamless cross-platform experiences using React Native and Expo, with deep understanding of platform-specific challenges and optimization. Security & Compliance: Implement mobile security best practices, data protection measures, and ensure compliance with platform and regulatory standards. Continuous Innovation: Stay current with emerging mobile technologies, trends, and frameworks. Bring forward ideas and tools that improve developer productivity and user experience. Experience Qualifications: 8+ years of software development experience with a minimum of 4+ years in mobile architecture and development. Proven expertise in React Native, Expo, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and associated mobile frameworks. Deep understanding of mobile app lifecycle, performance optimization, and deployment for both iOS and Android platforms. Experience integrating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Bitrise or similar tools (e.g., Fastlane, GitHub Actions). Hands-on experience with monitoring and error-tracking tools like Sentry for mobile applications. Experience with GraphQL or REST APIs, along with offline data management and caching strategies. Familiarity with Redux, Context API, or other state management libraries. Solid understanding of native platform features and integrations, with experience extending React Native using native modules (Java, Swift, Kotlin). Proficiency with testing tools and frameworks like Jest, Detox, or Appium. Skills and Abilities: Leadership: Strong ability to lead technical direction and architectural decisions across a mobile development team. Problem-Solving: Excellent debugging and optimization skills, especially in complex cross-platform environments. Process-Oriented: Experience setting up scalable CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release management. Monitoring & Stability: Skilled in configuring monitoring tools like Sentry to track crashes, performance bottlenecks, and user-impacting issues in production. Scalability Focus: Ability to design systems and codebases that scale to millions of users across multiple platforms. Security Mindset: Deep understanding of mobile security best practices, including authentication, data encryption, and secure storage. Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with engineers, designers, and product stakeholders. Documentation & Standards: Strong advocate for technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and maintaining team-wide coding standards. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with native mobile development (Swift, Kotlin, Java) and bridging with React Native. Familiarity with Expo SDK advanced modules, including camera, push notifications, and location services. Experience integrating analytics and performance tools (e.g., Firebase, Segment, Amplitude). Familiarity with deployment and distribution tools (e.g., TestFlight, Google Play Console). Understanding of Agile and Scrum practices for managing development cycles.
