PURPOSE The Service Automation - Analytics Specialist is responsible for delivering data-driven insights using Baker Group's building analytics platforms to improve client facility performance and reliability This role serves as a trusted technical and analytical advisor to clients. Maintain and grow the "Client for Life" concept for existing and new clients. Performs related work as required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe following duties are typical for this job. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. Facilitate the installation and configuration of the customer analytics system. Lead customer training in the use of the different software tools required for good communication and use of Baker Group resources. Develop a thorough understanding of each assigned client's building systems, existing conditions and the priorities this customer desires of our system interaction. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate the insights and findings from the data to stakeholders to influence policy and inform decision-making processes. Create clear visual representations of analytics findings through charts, graphs and various dashboard to communicate insights at a glance. Assist field technicians with troubleshooting the BAS and HVAC systems. Collaborate with Project Managers and Account Executives to estimate, execute and manage building analytics packages. Assist Account Executives and Project Managers to evaluate issues with the BAS, HVAC or Analytic systems. Assist Account Executives in the review of service contracts for the utilization of analytics. Provide technical support to the Service Controls Technicians to assist in resolving issues during the installation and ongoing operation of analytics packages. Leverage analytics systems to help balance workload demand to ensure appropriate coverage. Maintain a Monday - Friday schedule during core business hours, with flexibility to support urgent client needs during evenings, weekends or holidays as required. MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS High school diploma or GED Three years of experience in HVAC systems, building automation systems or analytics Advanced understanding of HVAC systems operation, sequences, terms and interactions in simple and complex applications. Experience in Mechanical Systems or Construction environment is preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with common business software, including Microsoft Office applications. Experience leading customer meetings , resolving issues and collaborating effectively with internal teams to ensure customer success. Working knowledge of Ethernet and serial network communication formats and hardware configuration. Understanding of fundamental process controls, including PID control loops, motor control and commissioning of digital and analog measuring devices. Familiarity with Building Automation Systems such as Niagara N4, Distech, JCI FX, based tools for system setup and graphics development. Foundational knowledge of IoT connection protocols and the ability to identify and resolve connectivity issues. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Valid driver's license, with acceptable driving record MENTAL AND PHYSICAL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally. Strong success in data analysis, combining technical skills such as data validation and analysis with critical thinking and clear communication. Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and leverage shared expertise when needed. Demonstrates flexibility and openness to all perspectives to make well-informed decisions Exhibits patience and ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to take ownership of goal setting, performance discussions and facilitating meetings and interview for multiple team members. Ability to coordinate, plan and schedule detailed project implementation activities. Ability to anticipate, identify and negotiate changes from documented scope of work. Strong organizational skills related to workflow and documentation of processes. Strong ability to delegate effectively and motivate others to support team training efforts and implementing shared ideas. ENVIRONMENTAL ADAPTABILITY Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer. Must be able to lift 25 pounds occasionally. May have occasional visits to a job site which would require periods of standing, walking and/or climbing stairs.
