Global Strategic Sourcing Lead

Description Engage with suppliers in China to negotiate the best possible terms for sourcing, balancing cost, volume, and quality to secure agreements that align with Apple's performance standards and ensure reliable long-term supply. Collaborate across various teams at Apple to meet business objectives. This role requires the ability to quickly synthesize information and communicate insights to senior leaders while proactively identifying potential supply-related challenges that could impact product strategy. Enhance supply chain performance through comprehensive cost and capacity analysis, benchmarking, and innovative solutions. Gain a thorough understanding of value-added manufacturing processes, costs, and market intelligence, leveraging this information to guide Apple's sourcing strategies. Support overall program management and contribute to the ongoing refinement of processes, templates, escalation procedures, and reporting mechanisms. Preferred Qualifications Experience in Supply Chain, Operations, or a related domain. A proven passion and skill set in negotiations. Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in executive presentations. Ability to cultivate and enhance cross-functional relationships to influence and drive project outcomes. Self-starter with the capacity to work independently. Skilled at making swift decisions and resolving complex issues with limited information. Experience in supplier management and operations. Adept at identifying and addressing intricate supply chain challenges. Ownership of contract negotiations encompassing both commercial and legal aspects is advantageous. Familiarity with capacity planning is beneficial. Background in SQL and data validation is a plus.
