USPI South Texas Specialty Hospital is seeking a motivated Quality Coordinator. We have 25 Beds and 8 OR rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Orthopedic, Spine.Job Summary: RN Quality Coordinator to join the team in the Quality & Risk Management Department. The Quality Coordinator will provide assistance with all aspects of Quality, Risk Management, Patient Safety, Infection Prevention & Control, and Employee Health under the direction of the Director of Quality and Risk Management. Manages the Policy and Procedure flow through the organization.Manages the hospital’s Core Measure data abstraction and reporting to PCC.Performs OPPE data review and prepares summary report for physician leadership.Analyzes data provided from a variety of metrics such as departmental metrics and QAPI auditing.Assists with preparation of Joint Commission reports.Assists in the preparation for Patient Care Committee and other QAPI meetings, as needed and maintain meeting minutes.Creates and delivers educational presentations for identified learning needs related to QAPI.Assists in assuring the department is compliant with the standards of regulatory agencies.Assists Director of Quality & Risk Management, as needed.Is supportive of departmental and hospital goals.Performs special projects for the CFO/COO, CNO, and CEO.Other duties as assigned. #USP-RN#LI-CM1Required SkillsQualifications: Associate’s degree in nursing, bachelor’s degree preferredA minimum of two years of progressive clinical experience, hospital experienceA minimum of one year experience in Quality/Risk/Performance ImprovementCurrent license as a Registered Nurse in Texas.Current BLSProficient with Microsoft Office applicationsPossess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.Possess the ability to deal tactfully with physicians as well as with facility employees.Must possess the ability to prioritize responsibilities and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
