The successful candidate will be the chief academic officer, responsible for the development and implementation of all academic and clinical programs. This role requires a leader who can unite and inspire faculty, staff, and students, and who is committed to the mission of the College. The Dean will oversee all academic activities, ensure compliance with accreditation standards, and lead the self-study process. Interdisciplinary education, faculty recruitment, and retention, as well as the management of the College's finances, are key responsibilities. The Dean will also be involved in strategic planning, fostering a culture of professionalism and scholarly activity, and supervising fundraising efforts. Applicants must have a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from a COCA-accredited college, an unrestricted license to practice osteopathic medicine, and AOA or ABMS board certification. A minimum of 5 years' of proven experience in academic leadership with budget management authority is required. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in osteopathic medical education, a commitment to the holistic philosophy of the College, and a track record of fostering collaborative relationships. The Dean will be expected to manage the College's finances, maintain a productive research and scholarly activity plan, and guide the development of post-graduate residency programs. The position demands a full-time commitment, and the Dean may not be employed outside of the University.
