Job Description This dynamic and fast-growing private company is looking for an Automation Controls Specialist to create innovative and reliable automation systems and products. Primary Duties: Design accurate drawings and ensure precise material dimensions and relationships within projects. Review development plans to confirm compliance with established engineering standards. Verify the dimensional accuracy of structural layouts and installations. Collaborate with manufacturing teams, vendors, and engineering to ensure all documentation meets specifications. Engage with the sales team and customers to refine designs and applications. Transform concepts and sketches into detailed drawings. Assess and critique proposed engineering standards, policies, or specifications. Take on project management responsibilities as needed. Qualifications/Experience: A two or four-year degree in engineering or a related field; or a combination of education and relevant experience. Proficiency in PLC programming and electrical circuits. Strong mathematical skills, including geometry and trigonometry. Excellent computer skills, especially with drafting software. Proficient communication skills are essential. Detail-oriented with a commitment to continual improvement. Safety-conscious and committed to practicing shop safety. Self-motivated and able to work independently.
