Job Description As a key player in our pharmacy operations, you will oversee all facets of pharmacy practice while adhering to federal and state laws, as well as our corporate policies. Your primary focus will be to enhance the financial performance of our pharmacy department. This will be achieved through effective budget management, staff training, exceptional customer service, and the implementation of clinical services approved by the corporate team. ResponsibilitiesPerform all duties of a staff pharmacist while serving as an exemplary role model for the pharmacy team; handle customer complaints effectively and streamline workflow to reduce wait times. Lead the development and implementation of sales strategies and initiatives as outlined by the division pharmacy department. Ensure compliance with all the required legal and company protocols as a registered pharmacist in your state. Guide the pharmacy team to optimize warehouse utilization, decrease unnecessary stock, and minimize fill on-arrival prescriptions while ensuring proper training and adherence to inventory procedures. Follow all corporate-controlled substance procedures diligently. Monitor and manage the profitability of third-party insurances, addressing issues and audits promptly. Create work schedules for pharmacy staff that help control labor costs effectively. Maintain pharmacy records in compliance with state and federal regulations as well as company policy. Lead the pharmacy towards meeting established goals related to labor, volume, inventory, and sales. Engage in effective outreach to local physicians and community partners. Promote and participate in public health initiatives and disease management services. Travel independently when required to support business objectives. Supervise and mentor your direct reports, providing performance evaluations and constructive feedback. Qualifications Minimum Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an accredited U.S. School of Pharmacy. A minimum of 2 years of relevant retail experience or a comparable mix of education and experience. Must be 21 years of age or older. Willingness to participate in clinical programs following company-sponsored training. Commitment to confidentiality and excellent customer service. Proficient in writing routine reports and interpreting prescriptions. Demonstrated leadership abilities. Current license must be in good standing. Desired Qualifications Relevant Pharmacy Board Certification(s). Experience in business management in conjunction with pharmacy education.
