As a vital member of our Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) team, you will oversee and monitor intricate construction activities at various project sites. We are looking for a knowledgeable inspector with expertise in at least two of the following categories: Roadway, Bridges, Drainage, Erosion & Control, or Maintenance & Traffic. You will work with varying levels of supervision depending on your experience and competencies. Key responsibilities include utilizing your understanding of construction materials, methods, and equipment related to highway construction, along with your ability to read and interpret complex plans, specifications, and contracts. Primary Responsibilities: Perform both complex and routine inspections to ensure that proper materials and processes are utilized and work aligns with all established plans and specifications. Utilize advanced equipment and perform intricate calculations for comprehensive construction inspection. Exhibit your expertise while working with minimal supervision. Review drawings meticulously in preparation for inspections. Understand inspected construction designs and document results accurately while maintaining open communication with supervisors. Minimum Qualifications: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Certifications such as ACI (American Concrete Institute) or NICET (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies) in earthwork, asphalt, and concrete may be vital depending on client or jurisdiction requirements. A valid driver's license is essential, along with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. Travel may be required based on project demands.
