Gas Utility Locator Technician

Your experience in the industry will be considered when determining your starting pay. Your workdays will be spent actively engaging in the field using a company-provided vehicle, along with best-in-class technology to ensure efficient mark-out services for excavators and property owners. Your Responsibilities: Utilize locating equipment to find and accurately mark the location of gas lines, preventing utility damage. Develop a thorough understanding of underground utility systems. Adhere to all company, client, state, and federal guidelines for damage prevention. Depending on project assignments, you may be required to locate additional utilities beyond gas lines. These are full-time positions with daytime hours. We typically work following holidays and weekends as needed, so flexibility for overtime, weekend shifts, and on-call shifts is required. What We Need from You (Requirements): Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions; previous outdoor experience is preferred. Availability for overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as necessary. Ability to travel locally during the business day; overnight travel may also be required. Must pass a drug screening as this is a safety-sensitive role. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are essential. Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift heavy items (up to 75 lbs) for extended periods. Ability to distinguish colors used for marking utilities. Proficiency in computer skills. Ability to read locate tickets and maps, alongside basic math skills for distance calculations. Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers, colleagues, and contractors; customer service experience is a plus.
