Job Summary: As the Lead EMS Instructor, you will be at the forefront of educating future emergency medical professionals. You will take charge of curriculum development, instruct in various EMS education levels, and ensure that our programs meet national standards. Your role is vital in shaping the next generation of EMS providers. Responsibilities: Develop and update course content and curriculum, ensuring alignment with National EMS Education Standards. Design engaging curriculum across multiple platforms including traditional, hybrid, and online formats. Coordinate and implement assigned Program courses, maintaining quality in planning and evaluation. Provide lectures and supervise skill labs, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience. Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback regularly. Maintain accurate records of courses, students, and curriculum compliance. Engage with clinical sites and preceptors to enhance students' practical experience. Participate in item development and compliance with accreditation standards. Stay updated on state and local EMS requirements and educational best practices. Promote cost-efficiency and manage resources effectively within the Program. Contribute to the maintenance of Program equipment and supplies. Deliver educational presentations that adhere to adult learning principles. Requirements: Bachelor's degree required. Current AHA BLS and ACLS Instructor certifications. PHTLS or ITLS Instructor certification. Completion of an approved Instructor course, with specifics defined by local authority. A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a field/clinical setting as a Paramedic or emergency nurse. Documented teaching experience and a preference for those with supervisory experience in instructional settings. Certified Paramedic or Licensed Registered Nurse, with NREMT certification preferred.
