Join our dynamic team as a Supply Chain Procurement Manager, where you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing effective sourcing and procurement strategies. Your expertise will ensure we acquire the necessary materials and services efficiently for our cutting-edge capital equipment manufacturing in the commercial printing industry. In this management position, you will foster supplier relationships, negotiate advantageous contracts, and lead a dedicated Purchasing team to support our production schedules and overall business objectives. Responsibilities: Craft, execute, and oversee purchasing strategies that align with our production schedule and company goals for cost, quality, and delivery. Manage daily purchasing operations, including creating purchase orders, supplier oversight, and coordinating material planning. Negotiate and form supplier agreements to secure advantageous terms regarding pricing, lead times, and quality standards. Identify and evaluate new suppliers to bolster business growth, capacity, and mitigate risks. Work closely with engineering, production, and inventory teams to forecast material requirements and avoid disruptions in the supply chain. Ensure supplier capabilities meet technical and manufacturing specifications in collaboration with engineering, production, and quality teams. Monitor supplier performance metrics such as on-time delivery and quality, implementing corrective actions as necessary. Maintain precise purchasing and supplier data within our ERP/MRP systems. Lead initiatives for cost reduction and continuous improvements throughout the supply chain. Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and relevant regulations. Guide, mentor, and develop purchasing staff to enhance departmental performance and foster professional growth. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: In-depth knowledge of sourcing mechanical, electrical, and fabricated components; ability to interpret engineering drawings for technical sourcing, preferably within the commercial printing or capital equipment sectors. Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and relationship management abilities. Thorough understanding of manufacturing and supply chain processes, particularly in capital equipment or precision manufacturing; knowledge of inventory control, logistics, and production planning. Proficient in using ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Epicor, SAP, Oracle, or similar), with preferred experience in Epicor. Strong organizational skills capable of managing multiple priorities efficiently under deadlines. Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to foster team development. Education, Experience and Training: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or a related field; equivalent combinations of relevant education and experience may be considered. 5+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing or OEM environment. 2+ years' supervisory or management experience preferred. Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Epicor, SAP, Oracle, or similar) is essential.
