Description: Join our team as a Cleaning and Sanitation Team Member, where you will play an essential role in creating a clean and welcoming atmosphere that enhances the experience for our guests. Type of position: Full-time Part-time Reporting to: Culinary Manager Hours: 20-40 hours/week Exempt: Nonexempt Duties & Responsibilities As a Cleaning and Sanitation Team Member, your primary responsibilities will include: Thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing all restaurant areas, including the kitchen, dining room, bar, restrooms, and exterior spaces. Regularly sweeping, mopping, and managing trash disposal to maintain a neat and tidy environment. Washing, drying, and restocking kitchen wares and utensils as needed. Conducting deep-cleaning tasks, such as scrubbing floors, cleaning vents, and organizing storage areas for optimal functionality. Monitoring and replenishing supplies like napkins and cleaning products to support efficient operations. Assisting in unloading and organizing deliveries, ensuring proper labeling and storage. Informing management of any shortages or equipment needing repair to enhance operational efficiency. Providing support to the dishwashing team during peak hours for smooth service. Maintaining a clean and organized dish area to foster efficient kitchen operations. Ensuring that kitchen staff have access to clean tools, plates, and utensils at all times. Complying with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations to promote a secure environment for both guests and staff. Swiftly addressing spills, hazards, and broken equipment to minimize risks. Reporting maintenance or repair needs to management promptly. Performing other assigned duties as needed. Requirements: Prior experience in a cleaning or janitorial role is preferred but not required. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Basic understanding of cleaning equipment and products. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness. Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks. A team-oriented attitude with a willingness to assist colleagues whenever necessary. Dependable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling, including evenings and weekends.
