Position Overview This role offers personalized and high-quality evaluations, assessments, prognoses, treatments, and education tailored to each patient's unique needs, following medical necessity and clinical guidelines. Services are delivered across a broad continuum of care, including inpatient acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient settings. The position requires adherence to professional ethics and standards, maintaining productivity, and fulfilling weekend and holiday duties as needed. Continuous professional development and evidence-based practice are encouraged to ensure clinical excellence. Key Responsibilities Maintain a safe and clean work environment, including compliance with safety and infection control protocols. Conduct thorough and individualized patient evaluations, assessments, and treatment plans. Provide care in various settings such as inpatient acute care, rehabilitation, and outpatient services based on patient and organizational needs. Fulfill weekend and holiday work requirements according to employment status. Utilize sound clinical judgment to assess all relevant aspects of patient function and complete timely documentation. Participate actively as a member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team. Offer mentorship opportunities voluntarily when requested. Comply with organizational policies, procedures, laws, and standards while supporting the mission and values of the healthcare organization. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or managers. Qualifications 1 to 3 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist is preferred. Proficiency in occupational therapy modalities, interventions, and procedures is required. Advanced Practice Certification is preferred. Competent with standard office equipment and computer software including MS Windows, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and internet applications. Strong communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills are essential. Education Graduation from an accredited professional school or college with a degree in Occupational Therapy is required. Licenses and Certifications Must be licensed or eligible for licensure by the Occupational Therapy Board of the relevant state. Current BLS certification (American Heart Association Healthcare Provider) is required upon hire. Advanced Practice Certification in Swallowing Assessment, Evaluation, or Intervention and CNT or CNT eligibility is preferred for NICU roles. Advanced Practice Certification is preferred for other areas. OTR certification is required. NBCOT certification is preferred. All candidates must successfully complete a physical evaluation, drug screening, and background checks prior to employment. Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination requirements or approved exceptions is mandatory.
