This contract opportunity in Ballston Spa, NY, offers a dynamic role within an Interventional Radiology Lab dedicated to delivering specialized care across a diverse patient group, ranging from adolescents to geriatrics. The lab operates primarily within the Cardiovascular Lab on the fourth floor of the Pruyn Pavilion and provides 24/7 emergency support, including weekends and holidays, fostering a critical care environment with a focus on interdisciplinary collaboration among physicians, registered nurses, and radiology technologists. Key Responsibilities: Perform and assist with a variety of interventional procedures such as angiograms, peripheral revascularization, central line placements, and vascular access including port placement. Provide pre- and post-procedural care for patients undergoing renal, liver, and lung biopsies. Manage placement and maintenance of hemodialysis catheters, nephrostomy drainage tubes, gastrostomy, and jejunostomy tubes. Deliver pain management interventions and support procedures like paracentesis and thoracentesis. Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care. Utilize electronic medical records systems, specifically Cerner and McKesson, for documentation and patient care management. Adhere to the hospital dress code with facility-provided scrubs. Desired Qualifications: Current RN licensure with skills in Interventional Radiology. Experience in acute and elective patient care within a cardiovascular or interventional radiology setting. Competency in emergency procedures and interdisciplinary team collaboration. Ability to work flexible hours including off-hours, weekends, and holidays as part of emergency coverage.
