Manufacturing Process Engineer

We are seeking a hands-on Process Engineer to support the qualification, optimization, and improvement of processes and equipment in a high-speed fiber optic cable plant. You will work closely with a cross-functional team to improve product quality, efficiency, and reliability.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in equipment start-up, including test setup, data collection, and adjustment of equipment parameters.Design and execute experiments to understand and improve processes.Analyze production data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for process improvements.Support manufacturing process improvements, including defect reduction, variability control, throughput improvements, and Six Sigma initiatives.Provide feedback and suggestions to improve equipment and product quality.Develop and maintain standard work documentation such as SOPs, SOS, job aids, and training materials.Apply engineering tools and problem-solving methodologies (6-Sigma, TRIZ, KT-PA, MEE) to address production challenges.Ensure compliance with safe work practices.Collaborate with a diverse team including mechanical, electrical, controls, IT, facilities, and operations teams.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably high-speed production.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills using data.Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and design of experiments (DoE).Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as JMP, Minitab, and Power BI.Ability to lead technical projects, manage priorities, and motivate teams.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to influence and collaborate across diverse teams.Self-starter mindset with ability to multi-task and work independently.Creative and innovative approach to process improvement.
