Job Description Business Title: Senior Commercial General Liability Claims Adjuster Employment Type: Full-Time FLSA Status: Exempt Location: In-Office Summary: Join our dedicated team as a Senior Commercial General Liability Claims Adjuster! This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to adjudicate moderately complex commercial general liability bodily injury claims. You will work under the direction of the Director of General Liability Bodily Injury Claims and play a pivotal role in delivering outstanding results for our clients. This position is based in one of our many offices, including Albany, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City, Omaha, Richmond (VA), Rockwood (PA), or Springfield (MO). This position requires full-time, in-office work during standard business hours. Essential Responsibilities: Adjudicate moderately complex commercial general liability bodily injury claims with the potential for significant impact on departmental performance. Tackle challenging problems requiring a comprehensive understanding of various issues. Report to senior management and underwriters regarding trends and developments in claims. Analyze claims forms, insurance policies, endorsements, and client instructions to verify coverage. Conduct prompt and thorough investigations, including interviewing involved parties. Manage claims that are in litigation. Ensure timely completion of tasks to achieve optimal financial outcomes. Create and review reserves per Argo’s reserving policy. Identify loss drivers and trends to reduce claims frequency and severity through data analysis. Coordinate expert resources for case resolution. Prepare comprehensive reports for file documentation. Negotiate effectively to deliver cost-efficient solutions for the company and customers. Manage correspondence and prioritize workload efficiently. Maintain a strong passion for exceptional claims management. Qualifications / Experience Required: Strong business acumen with an understanding of insurance operations and impact on profitability. Advanced knowledge in commercial general liability bodily injury claims gained through a minimum of five years of experience. A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is required, or an equivalent of two or more insurance designations or four additional years of related experience. Licensed Claims Examiner as per state requirements; ability to quickly obtain necessary licenses. Ability to work independently and demonstrate sound judgment. Excellent communication skills to build lasting relationships. Strong evaluation and strategic thinking skills. Exceptional negotiation skills with a proactive approach. Focused on customer satisfaction. Effective time management abilities to prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to articulate financial value at various responsibility levels. Commitment to ongoing professional development through education and self-improvement. The base salary range for this position varies by location and is subject to candidate experience. In addition, employees are eligible for an annual bonus and a generous benefits package. Albany and Chicago Pay Range: $111,400 - $132,500 Los Angeles and New York City Pay Range: $121,500 - $144,500 PLEASE NOTE: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
