Job Description Oracle OCI is experiencing aggressive growth, expanding data center capacity globally at significant scales in key markets. We are on the lookout for an experienced commissioning engineer specialized in the data center domain to join our growing Data Center Design team. This team sets the design standards for our partners, whether they are colocation providers or developers, and serves as the center of excellence for all data center design aspects. The commissioning engineers will ensure that our new facilities are fully tested and capable of delivering reliable operations for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Join our dynamic team of professionals in providing exceptional cloud services! This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Senior Commissioning Engineer focusing on Integrated Systems Testing (IST) and commissioning activities. You will act as a primary point of contact between Oracle and our data center partners, overseeing the completion and testing of building systems to ensure a seamless transition to operational readiness. Responsibilities Project Management-Strategy Alignment: Oversee the commissioning of multiple projects ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry standards. Project Management-Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers to communicate project expectations and updates effectively. Project Management-Technical Documentation: Guide the creation of commissioning scripts and systems manuals as a reference for Data Center Operations personnel. Systems Design & Specifications: Collaborate with engineering teams to create data center designs that meet operational and reliability standards. Implementation-Testing: Review analyses of key performance indicators (KPIs) during systems testing and recommend solutions to address any observed trends. Implementation-Troubleshooting/Issue Resolution: Address complex issues with implementing building systems and drive the development of resolutions. Implementation-Quality & Safety: Maintain and update quality and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring training alignment on safety protocols. Planning & Execution: Direct timelines, deliverables, and budgets for critical projects, anticipating changes in resources or priorities. Collaboration & Partnership: Foster partnerships with key leaders and stakeholders to promote organizational success. Problem Solving: Lead complex problem-solving efforts and guide teams to leverage innovative techniques to resolve issues. Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends and promote knowledge sharing across teams. Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement innovative solutions to improve process efficiency. Performance and Development: Support talent development initiatives, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategy. Requirements: This is a full-time role based in the Phoenix area, and candidates must be open to occasional travel (up to one week per month). Compensation and Benefits: Hiring range from: $120,100 to $251,600 per annum, with the potential for bonuses and equity; Oracle provides a comprehensive benefits package.
