Join Our Dynamic Team! We are on the lookout for a proactive and dedicated Industrial Gearbox Assembly Specialist to become a key member of our manufacturing team. In this hands-on role, you will expertly assemble various industrial gearboxes and associated mechanical components. We seek individuals with a strong mechanical background who can effectively interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions. Compensation: Competitive pay at $36/hour with ample overtime opportunities. Key Responsibilities: Assemble industrial gearboxes and components according to detailed blueprints and work instructions. Interpret mechanical drawings, bills of materials, and assembly schematics with accuracy. Install gears, bearings, seals, shafts, and housings, ensuring precision in tolerance and alignment. Measure and verify component dimensions using tools such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators. Perform torquing, shimming, and backlash adjustments to maintain high quality standards. Conduct functional testing and inspections of completed assemblies to ensure reliability. Identify and effectively troubleshoot any assembly or fitment issues. Keep a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and 5S standards. Collaborate with quality, engineering, and production teams to guarantee product accuracy and timely delivery. Required Qualifications: 3-5 years of experience in gearbox assembly or heavy mechanical assembly. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation confidently. Proficient in using hand tools, torque tools, and precision measuring instruments. Strong mechanical aptitude complemented by problem-solving skills. High school diploma or GED necessary. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in industrial manufacturing, power transmission, or heavy equipment environments. Familiarity with bearings, gear sets, shafts, and housings is a plus. Technical or vocational training is advantageous. Physical Requirements: Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. Willingness to stand, bend, and work on the production floor during extended hours. Comfortable working with oils, lubricants, and various industrial materials.
