Job Title: Branch ManagerLocation: New Bern, NC Company: Pro-Serv Food Equipment Industry: Commercial HVAC, Refrigeration & Kitchen Equipment Service Employment Type: Full-Time | Senior Leadership RolePosition OverviewPro-Serv Food Equipment is seeking a high-accountability Branch Manager to fully own the performance, execution, and culture of an assigned branch. This role is responsible for ensuring the branch operates at 100% capacity, every day.The Branch Manager is the direct leader of the Dispatch Manager, Parts Manager, and Estimator, and is accountable for how well those departments perform together. If there is an issue within the branch, the Branch Manager owns it. This role operates with an ownership mindset — your branch is your business.Core ResponsibilitiesDaily ResponsibilitiesLead a daily 10-minute morning technician huddleSet expectations, priorities, safety notes, and key updatesEnsure the branch day runs at 100%No gaps, no confusion, no unresolved issuesReview open work orders, callbacks, reinspections, and escalationsDrive resolution, not excusesDirectly manage and support:Dispatch ManagerParts ManagerEstimatorRemove obstacles preventing the team from executingInspect fleet conditionSafety, cleanliness, readiness, and brandingReview parts shortages and delaysPrevent downtime and reschedulesAddress and resolve customer complaintsOwn the issue from start to finishApprove local purchasesEnsure spending aligns with budget and policyWeekly Standard Operating ProceduresConduct performance review meetings with:Service ManagerDispatch ManagerParts ManagerEstimatorReview revenue per truckIdentify inefficiencies and missed opportunitiesReview scheduling efficiency and technician utilizationPerform local marketing and relationship outreachKey customers, vendors, and community partnersComplete a branch safety and compliance walkShop, warehouse, fleet, and job documentationMonthly Standard Operating ProceduresReview and fully understand the Branch P&LRevenue, labor efficiency, margins, overhead, and expensesConduct staff performance reviewsAccountability, coaching, corrective action, and developmentAudit branch equipment and fleet assetsPerform inventory accuracy and variance checksReview estimating accuracy, close rates, and backlog healthIdentify staffing, training, or process gaps and implement solutionsLeadership & Ownership ExpectationsYou are the final point of accountability for your branchThe branch runs smoothly whether ownership is present or notProblems are addressed immediately — not passed upwardStandards are enforced consistently across all departmentsThe branch reflects professionalism, structure, and prideYou operate the branch with the mindset of an owner, not a supervisorKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)Revenue per truckTechnician utilization and efficiencyCallback and reinspection ratesCustomer satisfaction and complaint resolution timeDispatch effectiveness and scheduling efficiencyInventory accuracy and parts availabilityEstimator close rate and quote turnaround timeFleet and equipment conditionTeam performance and retentionQualifications5+ years experience in service operations, branch management, or field leadershipStrong understanding of commercial HVAC, refrigeration, or food equipment serviceProven experience managing multiple department leadersAbility to read, understand, and act on P&L statementsStrong decision-making and problem-solving skillsHighly organized, direct, and execution-focusedPreferred ExperienceMulti-branch or high-volume service environmentDispatch, parts, or estimating leadership backgroundInventory and fleet oversight experienceCustomer account ownership or key account managementWhat We OfferCompetitive salary (based on experience)Performance-based bonus structureLeadership growth opportunitiesClear authority and expectationsA structured, process-driven organizationSupport from ownership without micromanagementWho This Role Is ForThis role is for someone who wants real responsibility.
