We are seeking a visionary Director of Fleet Operations to lead and transform the fleet management strategy for one of the region's most established transportation and rental organizations. This is a high-impact, confidential leadership role responsible for the lifecycle management, maintenance excellence, and operational profitability of a multi-thousand-unit commercial vehicle fleet. As the Director, you will not just manage assets; you will drive the operational standards that define our client's reputation for reliability. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team of managers, technicians, and administrators to ensure peak performance across the entire network. Executive Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Asset Management Lifecycle Oversight: Direct the entire vehicle lifecycle, from high-level procurement and specification engineering to strategic remarketing and disposal. Capital Budgeting: Manage a multi-million dollar operational and capital expenditure (CAPEX) budget, ensuring maximum ROI on vehicle investments. KPI Excellence: Establish and monitor critical performance metrics including Fleet Uptime, Cost Per Mile (CPM), and Preventative Maintenance (PM) compliance. Operational Control & Safety Infrastructure Management: Oversee regional maintenance facilities, ensuring all shops meet rigorous safety, environmental, and cleanliness standards. Technology Integration: Spearhead the implementation of advanced telematics, fuel management systems, and fleet maintenance software (e.g., Comet, TMB) to drive data-based decision-making.
