A specialized opportunity is available for a skilled Imaging Cath Lab Tech to support a busy, advanced cardiac catheterization unit in Pompano Beach, FL. This contract position offers hands-on experience with state-of-the-art GE equipment in a high-acuity setting known for clinical excellence. Location This position is based in a well-established hospital recognized as a top-performing facility with 228 beds. The hospital holds multiple certifications including Primary Stroke Center and Blue Distinction Stroke Center. It offers a robust range of services such as open heart surgery, a 24-hour ER, orthopedics, robotics, women's services, and rehabilitation, reflecting a commitment to comprehensive patient care in a dynamic community. Key Responsibilities Perform specialized imaging procedures such as cardiac catheterizations, cerebral angiograms, stent placements, and balloon angioplasty. Operate and maintain GE Innova imaging systems efficiently within a 4-room cath lab unit. Collaborate closely with RNs and physicians during procedures to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes. Adhere to established protocols for patient care, preparation, and post-procedure monitoring. Participate in on-call rotations and adapt quickly to the fast-paced environment as required. Qualifications Current BLS, ACLS, and ARRT certifications are mandatory. Proven competency in special procedures and familiarity with GE Innova equipment. RCIS certification is preferred and will be prioritized. Ability to handle a 1:1 patient ratio in a fast-paced setting while maintaining critical thinking and teamwork. Work Environment & Culture The cath lab operates with a dedicated team of 22 staff members including RNs and techs, working primarily day shifts with on-call coverage at night. Dress code requires red and gray scrubs specific to Cath and EP labs, maintaining a professional appearance.
