Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is seeking a Quality Manager for a leading automotive supplier(manufacturer) in NW Ohio.Responsibilities;The Quality Manager will provide quality support to all other departments to ensure customer satisfaction, schedules, and projects are completed timely. Overall management of the Quality Department; responsible and accountable for all three shifts of Quality Assurance activities. Provide supervision in a safe and productive manner to achieve departmental and company goals.Act as primary liaison between company and all customersUnderstand and stay current to carry out customer expectations including process data, material certification, documentation, and other requirements as specifiedMaintain effective communication and coordination with all internal customers, plant management and associates; Maintain positive employee relations; Listen to issues and concerns and respond in a timely mannerOversee and direct Quality employees in safe, quality-minded and productive manner with a sense of urgency to attain production priorities as scheduledDirect Quality Assurance staff to effectively monitor production quality performanceEstablish procedures and develop quality assurance programs Actively participate and lead efforts towards using Total Quality Management tools such as Team Oriented Problem Solving, SPC, QS-9000 / TS 16949Maintain effective communication and coordinate with all external customers and suppliersConduct vendor quality system surveys and assist in vendor selection; Maintain positive vendor relations and assist vendors to consistently and reliably meet company quality requirementsEstablish, achieve and improve quality and safety goalsSupport new program launchesProvide motivation and results-oriented environmentReview all major department projects from start to finish and insure proper techniques are being usedInterface with Quality vendors to insure purchase of proper materialsReport on status of departmental projects as requiredComplete correspondence, forms and reports in Word, Excel, Access and other required programsHandle confidential information on a regular basisConduct performance evaluations of assigned staff as specified by company goalsEnsure all employee documentation is maintainedEncourage safety and housekeeping practices and lead by examplePromote and facilitate Open Door Process without reprisal, effective communication and Fair TreatmentParticipate in Continual Improvement activitiesAdhere to customer requirements, Business Operating System and company policiesQualifications; Able to demonstrate understanding of how job performance affects product quality and customer satisfactionAble to work well with others; build and maintain positive employee relationsAble to prepare, read and interpret written reports, instructions, procedures and guidelinesAble to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, employees, suppliers and customersAble to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, sketches and engineering dataAble to manage and schedule multiple priorities and meet deadlinesAble to work flexible and additional hoursAble to use computer and software as requiredAble to work under the pressure of meeting schedules, personnel issues, department deadlines, and multiple prioritiesEducation and Experience;Must have excellent human management skills, be decisive and always set a good exampleExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent quality procedure skillsMinimum Associate Degree Minimum 5 years of quality management experience in a high volume automotive manufacturingStrong knowledge of automotive customer requirementsKnowledge of Quality processes and procedures to include SPC, GD&T, VE, APQP, PPAP, DOE, etc.......About Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS);ITS is an international recruiting and staffing firm specializing in Skilled Trades, Engineering, Technical, and Professional positions.
