Job Title: Principal Enterprise Architect – Full Stack DevSecOpsLocation: Hybrid – Columbus, OH (Onsite Tuesday and Wednesday; Remote Monday, Thursday, and Friday)Duration: 6/12/2025 - 12/31/2025 (Possibility of Extension)Rate: $75 – $85/hour (Based on experience)Contract Type: W-2 only (U.S. Citizens and Green Card holders only; no C2C or sponsorship) Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly experienced Principal Enterprise Architect with deep expertise in full stack DevSecOps to support enterprise-wide architecture initiatives at a utilities client. This role requires a strong technical foundation in application architecture, DevSecOps tooling, and cloud-native development, combined with leadership capabilities to influence across business and technology functions.The selected candidate will report directly to the Head of Architecture and will collaborate with teams across Application Development, Infrastructure, Security, Data & Analytics, and PMO to define and implement modern architecture strategies. A structured skills assessment will be required as part of the evaluation process. Key Responsibilities Provide senior-level guidance and architectural leadership across the enterprise, with a focus on DevSecOps, API development, and full-stack application modernizationDevelop and maintain architectural blueprints, reference models, and transformation roadmaps that align with business strategy and IT capability goalsServe as a trusted advisor to business and technology stakeholders, facilitating decision-making on architectural direction, trade-offs, and solution designLead architecture review boards, promote standards adoption, and oversee solution design processesDrive innovation by staying informed on emerging technologies, frameworks, and development patternsCollaborate with platform and security teams to ensure architectures are secure by design and support scalable CI/CD deliveryActively mentor junior architects and provide cross-functional leadership in enterprise programsSupport the automation of key business capabilities, including intelligent automation, integration, and cloud enablementEngage with vendor partners and contribute to enterprise tooling strategies (e.g., Copado, GitHub, Jenkins, Sonar, Kubernetes Required Qualifications 10+ years of enterprise architecture experience, with a focus on DevSecOps and full stack development environmentsStrong background in both on-premise and cloud-based architectures (Azure and/or AWS)Experience working with large ERP environments, with prior architecture leadership in utility, energy, or complex regulated industriesDemonstrated success leading architectural engagements that span application, infrastructure, security, and data domainsStrong knowledge and hands-on experience with DevSecOps tools and practices, including:SonarQube, SAP, Salesforce, ServiceNowConcourse, Copado, Copilot, Docker, Gearset, GitHub, Jenkins, Kubernetes, PostmanUnderstanding of architecture capability areas such as: AI/ML, API Gateway & Management, Intelligent Automation, GenAI, Integration, Runtime Environments, and Security Skills and Competencies Deep understanding of API-first architecture, containerization, microservices, and modern CI/CD toolchainsFamiliarity with LeanIX, TOGAF, ITIL, and other enterprise architecture frameworksStrong communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skillsDemonstrated leadership in:Motivating Others and Driving Continuous ImprovementManaging and Measuring WorkOrganizing and Setting PrioritiesHigh degree of self-motivation and accountability in managing complex cross-functional efforts Education & Certifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (required)Architecture or Cloud certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS/Azure Certified Architect) are strongly preferred
