Job Description Oversee daily non-clinical pharmacy operations, ensuring smooth workflows and a great patient experience. Act as a certified pharmacy technician full-time. Manage pharmacy systems for patient and drug information, processing prescriptions. Supervise pharmacy technicians and cashiers within company policies and legal standards. Lead the selection, scheduling, and development of pharmacy technicians, offering training, coaching, and managing performance, including decisions on discipline and termination. Customer Experience Engage with customers, greeting them and assisting with their needs. Address customer complaints promptly to ensure a positive experience, and share best practices in customer service. Build lasting relationships with customers by anticipating their needs and proactively offering pharmacy services to enhance their experience. Operations Assist the pharmacist in delivering exceptional patient care, from patient registration to prescription preparation and medication verification. Use discretion to delegate and direct non-clinical tasks, ensuring timely completion and accountability for the pharmacy workflow. Maintain organization and cleanliness in the pharmacy, coordinating daily activities and managing inventory to ensure adequate supplies. Support the implementation of new technologies and processes, leading your team in action planning and change management. Communicate any prescription errors to the pharmacist and comply with policies regarding quality improvement protocols. Ensure accurate processing of insurance claims to resolve issues and prevent payment rejections. Contribute to improving pharmacy financials, operational quality, and customer service alongside the Store Manager and Pharmacy Manager. People & Performance Management Lead the performance evaluation process for pharmacy technicians, managing discipline and ensuring compliance with laws and company policies. Responsible for hiring, onboarding, training, and managing schedules for pharmacy technicians to ensure timely completion of training. Identify and address knowledge gaps within the team, facilitating training and development as needed. Training & Personal Development Maintain required certifications and continue developing pharmacy and healthcare knowledge. Participate in training programs and seek professional development opportunities. Communication Effectively communicate with the pharmacy team and participate in meetings to share updates and important information. External Basic Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico). Minimum one year experience as a pharmacy technician. Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking) except in Puerto Rico. Flexible schedule required, including evenings and weekends. Willing to obtain immunization certification within 90 days of hire. Preferred Qualifications Previous management or leadership experience. Prior work experience with Walgreens and a strong performance evaluation. We welcome applications from qualified individuals with arrest and conviction records. The estimated salary for this position ranges from $22.50 to $31.00 per hour, depending on various factors. This position will remain open until filled.
