This is a full-time remote position focused on enhancing the product knowledge and functional skills of global medical affairs teams. As an Associate Director, you will act as a therapeutic area expert (in areas such as Nephrology or Immunology), leading training that supports the Global Medical Affairs (GMA) Business Unit's product strategies and priorities. Your key responsibilities will include: Developing and executing the core training curriculum for new products throughout all launch phases. Conducting training for new hire Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) and GMA personnel within therapeutic areas. Supporting the GMA Peak Performers series aimed at enhancing the skills and performance of Global Medical Affairs. Creating original ideas for training sessions, developing presentation slides, and evaluating their effectiveness. Facilitating live and virtual classroom training sessions. Additionally, you will collaborate with regional/local training leads to tailor supplementary trainings that enrich MSL’s understanding of the therapeutic landscape and work closely with alliance partners to enhance their effectiveness. Core Responsibilities: Execute the strategic training plan for the therapeutic area Business Unit. Implement disease state and product-specific educational platforms in support of all new product launch initiatives. Refine and execute the GMA new hire training curriculum. Lead both virtual classrooms and competency assessments, focusing on live and virtual formats. Contribute as a key presenter and co-author in the Peak Performers series on a global scale. Collaborate with the Director of Global Medical Training and field excellence teams to assess needs and identify key performance and skill gaps, developing creative learning programs to address these issues. Assist in creating ongoing scientific and functional training content in coordination with Brand Training Lead partners. Serve as the primary training partner for therapeutic area sales training needs. Participate in all assigned Business Unit meetings and coordinate training meetings as needed. Required Qualifications: Education: Doctorate Degree required. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in field medical affairs (MSL), particularly in the pharmaceutical sector, with a background in training medical affairs teams. Experience in developing and executing functional training workshops and project management required. Proficiency in leading cross-functional teams to implement strategies effectively. Experience across multiple therapeutic areas, ideally in Nephrology or Immunology. Professional Skills: Proven leadership and interpersonal skills. Strong communication and presentation capabilities. Demonstrated experience in training and development within medical affairs. Team-oriented disposition with a solid grasp of pharmaceutical industry dynamics. Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills, with a creative approach to problem-solving. Aptitude for innovation and collaboration in diverse, cross-functional teams. The salary range for this role is between $150,034.00 and $224,250.00, with additional incentive opportunities based on experience and qualifications.
