Controls EngineerWe are seeking a Controls Engineer to support the design, programming, testing, and commissioning of PLC-based control systems for custom automation projects. You'll join a growing manufacturing organization with strong benefits, career development, and a steady pipeline of work.Location: Danbury, CT (On-site)Employment Type: Full-Time, PermanentSalary Range: $70,000-$120,000What You'll DoControl System Development Design and develop PLC and loop control systems based on project requirements. Program and troubleshoot PLCs and Loop Controllers (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Modicon/Schneider Electric, Preferred Instruments). Develop and maintain HMI interfaces for operator use. Documentation & Collaboration Create and update documentation for control system designs and modifications. Work closely with project managers, electrical/mechanical/software engineers, and proposal teams. Testing & Commissioning Participate in performance testing, commissioning, and project startups. Support combustion-related control systems (Burner Management, Drum Level, Draft Control, Fuel-Air Ratio). Travel: Up to 10% for meetings and site visits.Must-Have Skills PLC programming & troubleshooting Electrical/controls engineering experience Controls system design experience Proficiency with: Ladder Logic (LL) Function Block Diagram (FBD) PLC platforms (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) Nice-to-Have Skills HMI programming Allen-Bradley & Siemens PLC expertise SCADA systems (IFIX, Citect, Ignition) Industrial communication protocols (Modbus, BACnet, Ethernet/IP) Controls testing & field troubleshooting Qualifications Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or related field Hands-on experience with PLC systems Understanding of industrial communication protocols Familiarity with SCADA and HMI development tools Why Join Growing manufacturer with long-term stability Strong benefits and employee-focused culture Clear opportunities for advancement Collaborative on-site engineering environment Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Danbury, CT.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $120000.00/yr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
