Senior Liability Claims Specialist

Join Zurich North America as a Senior Liability Claims Specialist and play a crucial role in managing complex high-exposure auto and general liability claims. This position demands an experienced professional with a focus on cases involving bodily injury, property damage, personal injury, and advertising injury. You will be responsible for proactively managing claims and litigation while ensuring exceptional customer service. In this role, you will regularly communicate with customers, brokers, business units, and senior claims management, making it essential to have strong relationship-building skills and the ability to navigate complex scenarios across multiple jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will possess: A strong background in managing high severity injury claims. Excellent time and caseload management skills. Proficiency in documenting claims data accurately and complying with best practices. At Zurich North America, we prioritize work-life balance and flexibility. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of experience in managing general liability and/or auto claims and litigation, especially high severity claims OR Juris Doctor with 4+ years of experience managing general liability and/or auto claims and litigation including high severity claims OR High School Diploma with 10+ years of experience in managing general liability and/or auto claims AND Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including an Associate Degree with 8+ years of relevant experience. All candidates must obtain and retain the necessary adjuster licenses and possess experience with Microsoft Office, as well as knowledge of insurance regulations, markets, and products. Preferred Qualifications: JD, SCLA, AIC, or CPCU certification. Experience in a collaborative team environment. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Expertise in resolving severe claims across multiple jurisdictions. Strong coverage, evaluation, and negotiation skills. Proven organizational and time management abilities. The ability to work independently. Your compensation at Zurich is based on your role, skills, experience, and location, adhering to local laws for fair remuneration. The proposed salary range for this position is $100,200.00 - $164,100.00, with a potential bonus eligibility set at 20%.
