Company: Allegheny Health Network Job Description: This position will primarily be a SUNDAY position. We are looking for a dedicated candidate to cover 3-4 Sundays a month. GENERAL OVERVIEW: As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will evaluate and treat patients experiencing difficulties with speech, language, voice, cognitive functions, or swallowing due to injuries or diseases. You will collaborate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team, while also supervising support personnel. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patient conditions, set personalized goals, and develop care plans in collaboration with patients and their families. Implement therapy interventions utilizing both standard and specialized speech therapy techniques tailored to the patient's needs. Ensure thorough documentation in compliance with department, hospital, and regulatory standards. Engage in departmental initiatives for operational improvement, including participation in committees and educational programs. Perform any additional duties as requested or required. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum: Master's Degree or equivalent. Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. CPR certification from the American Heart Association. Clearance Certificates: Act 34 Criminal Background, Act 33 Child Abuse, Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
