Contract Requirements: Upon accepting your first claim assignment, a contract will be sent to you within 24 hours, detailing payment information and essential details as an independent contractor. Completing this contract is crucial for processing your payment. Key Skills & Requirements: Must live within a 50-100 mile radius of the assigned location and be open to travel. Background in construction, building inspections, or experience as a roofing contractor/installer is highly preferred. Comprehensive knowledge of roofing materials, construction standards, and potential structural issues. Ability to identify common signs of wear, damage, and concerns during home inspections. Must have reliable transportation, a computer, a digital camera, a ladder, and other essential tools to carry out adjuster duties. Must be physically capable and willing to climb rooftops. Technical Requirements: Smart cell phone with internet access. Laptop computer with reliable high-speed internet connection. Digital camera and various tools required for fulfilling adjuster responsibilities. Working Conditions & Demands: This role requires 100% travel within your assigned area based on received assignments. You will primarily work in both office and field claims environments, and must manage operating a vehicle for up to 8 hours a day, including frequent entry and exit. Inspections will take place outdoors in all weather conditions and may involve working during catastrophic loss events, including irregular hours and possible overnight travel.
