Senior Mobile Development Technical Lead

As we seek to expand our Enterprise Mobile app team, we're looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Mobile Developer/Tech Lead to spearhead our Invest and Maintenance projects. This position features a hybrid work schedule, and you’ll need to be in the office (Columbus, OH, Chicago, IL, Hartford, CT, or Charlotte, NC) three days a week, specifically from Tuesday to Thursday. Key Responsibilities: Lead Scrum Teams with specialized technical expertise to ensure a robust mobile application architecture. Execute a comprehensive technical vision while considering cross-functional business impacts. Act as the subject matter expert and advocate for our mobile app’s architecture. Oversee the mobile app's delivery and its backend infrastructure through the entire software development life cycle. Ensure rigorous application testing that meets quality assurance standards. Proactively mitigate technical issues and risks as they arise. Design and document automation solutions that align with dynamic business requirements. Mentor project team members, instilling development guidelines and best practices. Engage effectively with business, IT, and Sourcing partners. Identify strategies to reduce total cost of ownership in application support. Support disaster recovery planning and testing initiatives. Qualifications: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship; note that we do not provide support for the STEM OPT I-983 Training Plan endorsement. 7+ years of programming and systems analysis experience, with specific industry knowledge. A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. Experience in hybrid mobile app development utilizing Capacitor and/or Cordova. Proficient in Front-End Application Development platforms, including Angular, Ionic, and Typescript. Experience in UX design and accessibility (A11Y) is a plus. Familiar with CI/CD practices, especially GitHub Actions. Experience with AWS Lambda functions and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like CloudFormation or Terraform. Strong understanding of testing practices for mobile applications, including unit, integration, and end-to-end (E2E) testing. Knowledge of security models, including OIDC, OAuth token security, and Identity and Access Management products like ForgeRock. Solid comprehension of Scrum Agile project management methodologies. Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Compensation: The annual base pay range for this position is between $114,720 and $172,080. This range reflects an analysis of comparable positions within the market. Actual pay will vary based on performance and the demonstration of required competencies. Base pay is one component of The Hartford’s comprehensive compensation package, which may also include bonuses, long-term incentives, and recognition for outstanding contributions.
