Strategic Human Resources Business Partner The Strategic Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a trusted advisor to senior and executive leadership, driving organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, talent strategy, and operational excellence across assigned business units. In close partnership with Business Unit Presidents, C-suite leaders, and clinical executives, the HRBP aligns people and culture strategies with enterprise priorities to strengthen engagement, retention, financial performance, and operational outcomes. We are seeking a seasoned HRBP with extensive experience in complex, large healthcare environments. This individual will lead high-impact strategic initiatives, including organizational design and restructuring, leadership development, performance management, and succession planning. Partnering closely with executive leadership, the HRBP leverages workforce analytics and talent insights to inform decision-making, guide governance processes, and implement data-driven retention strategies that measurably reduce turnover and elevate team performance. This role also provides executive coaching and builds strong, trusted relationships with C-suite leaders. This role collaborates closely with Workforce Planning, Labor and Employee Relations, Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Legal, and Compliance to design and implement innovative talent pipelines, internship-to-career pathways, job architecture frameworks, and sustainable staffing models that drive cost savings and operational efficiencies. Additionally, the HRBP provides expert guidance on complex employee relations matters, policy development, and progressive discipline, ensuring compliance while upholding organizational values. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $166,700 - $250,700 (Annual Rate).
