Job Description: IT & OT Software and Applications ManagerLocation: Spring Grove, IL Reports To: IT Director Position Summary The IT & OT Software and Applications Manager leads a multidisciplinary team of software developers, application specialists, and data scientists. This role is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of business and operational software systems that drive efficiency, quality, and innovation. The Manager collaborates across IT, OT, and business units to ensure software aligns with organizational objectives, supports key processes, and delivers measurable value. Strategic Leadership & Succession: This position is a critical leadership hire. The successful candidate in this role is positioned as the direct successor to the current IT Leader. Key Responsibilities Team Management: Directs, mentors, and manages a team of 15-25+ IT professionals, including developers, data scientists, product owners, and analysts. Manufacturing Integration: Oversees software development for ERP (JD Edwards preferred), custom applications, and data platforms within a manufacturing environment. Agile Delivery: Manages project delivery using Scrum and Kanban methodologies, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality goals are met. Modernization: Drives the implementation of AI software development tools to improve productivity in ERP and custom software environments. Strategic Alignment: Partners with stakeholders to understand business needs, prioritize features, and develop solutions that deliver high value. Performance Oversight: Establishes and monitors team performance metrics (OKRs/KPIs) and software system effectiveness. Security & Compliance: Maintains security and compliance standards, including secure coding, audits, and adherence to data privacy regulations. Required Qualifications Industry Experience: Direct experience working within the Manufacturing sector is required. Leadership: 3-5 years of proven experience managing teams of 15-25+ IT professionals. Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated experience with .NET, JavaScript, and AI software development tools. ERP Expertise: Previous experience with ERP systems is required (JD Edwards experience is highly preferred). Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Data Science Management: Experience managing data science teams, including analytics, machine learning, and data governance.
